The Story

It's be nearly 600 turns since the 9th Pass came and went. That pass was suppose to be the last. Records show that somehow our ancestors actually managed to knock the Red Star off course so Thread would no longer plague our planet. Pern has not had it easy though. Tempers flare between the Northern and Southern Continents and a plague killed most of our precious dragons. Now, the Red Star is becoming more prominent in the dawning sky. I can only hope it doesn't mean anything, but only the future knows.

"Excuse me. I hate to bother you, but I'm in a bit of a jam and I just don't know what to do. You have a nice face and I thought I'd take a chance and see if you would be so kind as to help me out. My problem is I'm going back to my family's hold just outside of Craken. We didn't exactly part on good terms, that's not the issues though. The issue is that I know they have arranged a marriage for me that they plan to throw me into as soon as go home. I wouldn't go home if for the fact that I miss my little sister miserably. If I was already betrothed to someone, though, my parents wouldn't be able to force me to marry whoever this is they have lined up. So, please, do you think you can help me out? Oh yes, my name is Jieffi."

What to do:
  • Find someone to pretend to be Jieffi's betrothed or pretend to be them yourself
  • Escort her to Craken and meet her family
  • Convince Jieffi's family that she is truly betrothed to another man
